Our Story …
The Household Staff Agency Aunt Jessica Cares, was established back in 1988 and its creation was inspired by an actual Aunt Jessica, who was a nurse during the Second World War.
Due to a significant loss of men during World War II there was a shortage of men and a rise in widows and women seeking employment, particularly in domestic service.
As Aunt Jessica was a perfectionist with a wonderful caring nature and was passionate about home making skills, she took her fondness for cleanliness and domestic skills to teach others.
Through her passion she dedicated her life to teaching women, be it nurses to widowed housewives to learn new skills in how they could use their child care and home making expertise to gain employment in private households.
Today Aunt Jessica Cares carries on her passion for home making skilfulness, in finding household staff that have the appropriate aptitude, skills-set and congenial manner for each home we place them in.
